This is a rigorous CELTA training programme taught at our London partner school, that will provide you with the practical tools you will need to find success in the field of teaching ESL/EFL. Our small trainee group sizes and close attention to the needs of our students will ensure that you receive the personal attention and support needed to meet the challenges of the course.
Our experienced teacher trainers are knowledgeable, passionate and dedicated to giving our CELTA candidates the best training available. The CELTA has been designed to ensure our candidates access a quality curriculum for the duration of the course.
All our online programmes offer the same CELTA certification. Our online programme takes place 100% online, including teaching practice, and uses the Zoom platform and the Moodle learning environment.
Our CELTA part-time online programme is the perfect fit for trainees looking to study during evenings or weekends. Each programme is between 10-12 weeks long and consists of online teaching practice sessions and online learning modules that trainees study in their own time. The course is a mixture of practice & theory
120 contact hours
6 hours of assessed teaching practice for each trainee
6 hours of observation of experienced teachers
A minimum of 80 additional learning hours for reading, research, assignment writing and lesson preparation
Course content and assessment is the same, whether the course is taken online or face-to-face

Input sessions You will attend input sessions on methodology and practice given by our tutors to the whole group of trainees. These will equip you with theoretical and practical knowledge and ideas to inform and plan your lessons. (Input will be online for the Online CELTA.)
Teaching practice (TP) You will teach for a total of six hours, working with classes at two or three levels of ability. This will involve the planning and delivery of lessons observed by your TP tutor and colleagues, which will be immediately followed by a written self-evaluation, and feedback and comments from you, your tutor and colleagues.
Assignments You will complete four written assignments of 750-1000 words.
Observations You will watch full-hour lessons taught by experienced teachers while you take notes on methodology and practice.
